Gender

Some lexical types may define possible genders to be associated with items of that type. If this is the case then a gender dropdown box will show up underneath the type panel when editing a lexical item. Depending on how the lexical type is defined a gender assignment may be required before the item can be saved back to the lexicon. When viewing an item outside of edit mode the gender abbreviation is shown next to the item text along with the abbreviation of the item's lexical type.
